The Centre
The NVIDIA CUDA Research Centre at
the University of Durham was set up in 2014 as a beacon of
innovation and technological advancement within the University. It
represented a strategic partnership between the University and
NVIDIA, a global leader in GPU-accelerated computing. With access
to cutting-edge hardware and software technologies, researchers
within the center were empowered to explore the frontiers of
computational science across diverse disciplines, from
accelerating complex simulations in physics and engineering to
revolutionizing data analytics in biology and finance. Through
collaborative research projects, training programs, and industry
partnerships, the center fostered a vibrant ecosystem of
innovation, driving forward the development of novel algorithms,
methodologies, and applications. Here is the original announcement of the
Centre at the University site.
